The largest amateur radio convention in the world, the Hamvention, is coming back for another year in the Miami Valley beginning on Friday, May 15.
According to Hazel Everetts, the assistant general chairperson, over 35 different committees handle the different entities of the show, involving over 600 volunteers. However, she also said that while it sounds like it’s a big deal, it’s just fun for her.
Everetts is the second-in-command for the entire production of Hamvention. Next year, she’ll be the first-ever female general chairperson, and her plan is to keep growing.
