  • Our own amateur radio historian, Will Rogers, K5WLR, returns with a brand new edition of “A Century Of Amateur Radio”. This edition takes a look at the use of “CQ”, which is used as a general call for initiating a contact. This took time to become an acceptable practice in the early years. Serious operators frowned on its use, mostly because it had been used to excess in the old days among the little boys with squeak boxes, usually in exceedingly long and sparsely identified calls. This will be Part Two of the edition titled, “Call & Card.”
  • We will have a look at this months Volunteer Monitoring Report
