The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.

This past June the UK hams celebrated Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee marking 70 years of her reign on the British throne.
Her husband, HRH Prince Philip (Duke of Edinburgh) passed away last year at age 99. He sent a YOTA message in 2017 as part of an effort to help youth learn new skills in STEM among other academics.
With the passing of HRH Queen Elizabeth II, her eldest son Charles, the former Prince of Wales, will lead the country in mourning as the new King and head of state for 14 Commonwealth realms. He will be officially recognized as King Charles III.
