Andy G0SFJ has published his presentation about ‘Amateur and Consumer satellites’, which he made recently to a workshop on Space Policy.
He reviews the achievements of the Amateur Satellite service and then moves on to new consumer-oriented circuit boards sent, or planned to be sent, into orbit, for a commercial fee. He sees this as a trend embracing the software activities of the GitHub and the Maker community outside Amateur Radio.
You can read it here: Amateur and Consumer satellites: De-regulation Democratization, or Space Debris
and Andy would welcome comments QTHR.
