Via Southgate: TF1A will be operating portable on QO-100

The IRA report Ari Johannesson TF1A plans to operate portable using the QO-100 geostationary satellite amateur radio transponder from various locations in Iceland over the summer months
A translation of the IRA post reads:
The DXTO M4-EX is a new transvertor for the Es’hail 2 / QO-100 satellite. The device is designed by two Indian licensees, VU2XTO and VU2KGB and manufactured in that country.
The device operates independently and converts signals on 28 MHz to 2.4 GHz. Output power is at most 10W CW. The device comes with modified LNB and GPS antenna. The only thing that needs to be added is an antenna disk and suitable for satellite dishes sold in this country. The purchase price is 990 euros (138,000 ISK) plus transport costs to the country.
Ari Þórólfur Jóhannesson, TF1A, borrowed the exhibition copy at Friedrichshafen in June for presentation in Iceland. He intends to take it with him during the summer holidays and be a QRV via the satellite from different parts of the country, in addition to which he will show the members the device in the social facilities in Skeljanes soon.
